work it

Today is day 18 since I decided to be serious about changes in my life. I'm feeling good! Waking up at 8 is getting much easier, still on a semi schedule, though it's much looser then I first planned, and I'm starting to get organized. My pantry and freezer got over hauled over the last few days and today I clean out the fridge and do vegetable prep. Been eating healthier and sticking to lose it! Exercise is still a struggle but every little bit counts. As of Friday I have lost 11lbs.

I still have 100lbs to go but I'm chipping away at it! I still have my days where I wonder if it's even worth it. It is. I have 2 kids that right now I don't have the energy to chase after. In a year I will. No excuses. There will be set backs, I expect that, I will keep moving forward. No matter what.

Muffin tin lunches

Since I'm eating better I've been paying more attention to what my kids eat. Last year we started doing muffin tin lunches. It's exactly what it sounds like, lunch served in a muffin tin. We love them and I'm not exactly sure why we stopped doing them. I'm glad to be back to it. It gives the kiddos a larger variety of food and it's amazing how better their attitudes are when they eat better.

This was lunch a few days ago, delish! I don't get super fancy or do themes like you see on some blogs, but honestly they don't care. My meals look similar, actually that afternoon my lunch was almost identical. There has been some faltering, but over all I've been able to stick within my allowed calories for each day. at my last check I was down 8lbs. I won't do an official weigh in again till later this week.
